You may have heard some people say ‘Ramadan’ and you may have heard some people call it ‘Ramazan’. Well, it is called Ramadan in Arabic and Ramazan in Urdu. It is the month of fasting. In this holy month, Muslims all over the world fast every day for thirty days. No eating of food, no drinking of water, no bad thoughts, no anger and no negativity is allowed. This month teaches a person self-control. People learn to control their desires. Research and studies show that if you can learn to control your hunger and thirst, you can resist any temptation. When you do not eat and drink for a whole day and then when you eat, your heart and soul is filled with gratitude and thankfulness to God for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon you. You begin to realize the value of food and water. After 30 days of fasting comes the Eid day which marks the end of the month of Ramadan. We at Career point Gurukul, believe in communal harmony and peace. We celebrate all the festivals. On 22nd April 2023, we celebrated Eid. Students were taken to an Eidgah for the special congregational Eid prayer. All the students and the teachers wished one another ‘Eid Mubarak’. Honourable Director Shri Pramod Maheshwari Sir also conveyed his special Eid wishes to everyone. The music club of the school gave a marvellous performance in the morning assembly. Jigmit, Aanya, Ananya, Piya, Aditi and Dhroova mesmerized everyone with their beautiful voices when they sang the praises of God in qawwalis, naats and nasheeds. Sidhi Gupta delivered a heart-touching speech on Eid. There was an incredible vibe of joy and peace everywhere in the school campus. The aroma of good food could be smelled even from a mile away from the mess. All the students enjoyed the delicious sewaiyan in the lunch time as a part of the special lunch. They wore colourful dresses which they had been eagerly waiting to wear. They were taken out to visit the mall and various parts of the city with teachers and care-takers. The students then returned back to the campus and thanked God and the teachers for the wonderful day that they had spent. Indeed, all glory and praise is for God.
