Did you know that human beings are the only creature that can dance so well? Yes, do think about it. Is there any creature on Earth that can dance the way we do? Lions, Sheep, Camels, Pigeons, none of them can dance like we can but human beings, all of us dance. Some of us dance on stages, some of us dance privately inside the four walls, some of us dance in parties with friends, some of us dance with our soulmates. So, ABCD Any Body Can Dance. God has granted us many blessings and Dance is clearly one of them. It is also a good exercise and a great stress-buster. There are many kinds of dances all over the world. Michael Jackson, Prabhu Deva, Hritik Roshan, James Brown, Sri Devi, Shakira, Madhuri Dixit and Madonna are some of the greatest dance performers When it comes to dance, our Indian culture is very rich as we have many styles of dances. Kathakali, Bharatnatyam, Bhangdha, Garba, Odissi, Mohiniyattam and many more. It was an absolute pleasure for all of us at Gurukul to celebrate the International Dance Day. Students practised and rehearsed for the International Dance Day under the guidance of their dance teacher Mr. Keyur who did a marvellous job. Their hardwork made the International Dance Day celebration a spectacular event. The first performance was a group dance by Sakshi, Utkarsh, Ritanshu, Anushka, Laxmi, Ramya, Aditi, Mansi, Padma, Sakshi, Supriya, Sanjoli, Antima, Priyanka, Niharika. They wore fashionable dresses and rocked the stage.
Second performance was a solo dance by Navjot. She wore classical attire for a jaw-dropping kathak performance. She made us all proud of our Indian culture.
Then we had another group dance performance by Parth, Unnati, Samriddhi and Priyanshu. They danced in such a way that the entire audience felt like leaving their chairs and dance with them.
The last performer was Priyanshu Saha who is considered by everyone in the school as the best dancer. He is a big fan of Hritik Roshan and he dances the way Hritik Roshan does. He was so fast and energetic. The way he moved was breathtaking. When you see him dance, you feel inspired to dance like him.
The best part of the event was when the Principal Ma’am Mrs. Meenal Vasal danced with all the students to encourage them. They all danced on the song from a Shah Rukh Khan film Dear Zindagi. Yes your guess is right. It was “Love you zindagi”. All the students sang with joy from the top of their lungs and danced with all their energy. Indeed, it was a beautiful day for Career Point Gurukul.
