On Dec 21st, we come together to celebrate World Meditation Day. In a world that’s constantly on the go, this day serves as a reminder to slow down, breathe, and take time for ourselves. Our school, Career Point Gurukul, also celebrated this transcendent day for students who constantly juggle deadlines, exams, and the inner pressure to perform well academically. The day started by doing meditation on the school ground. All the students, as well as teachers participated. We were all guided by people from “The Art of Living” foundation. Their instructions helped us in performing meditation with more clarity and composure.
We also did pranayams like anulom vilom and kapalbhati. We played a game in which we had to block our partner from doing any of the movement. It was the most fun part of the session. At last, they encouraged us to regularly meditate to cope with the pressure of our busy lifestyles. World Meditation Day is a reminder that mental well-being is just as important as academic success. By incorporating meditation in our daily lives, we can improve our focus, manage stress, and maintain a healthier balance between school and life. We look forward to more such sessions further. After all, a calm mind is a key to academic success and personal happiness.
