Every year, on the 5th of September, teacher’s day is celebrated in India to commemorate the birth of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Students from schools all across India set up events and activities for their teachers to celebrate and acknowledge their efforts and struggles.
At Career Point Gurukul, the teachers day celebrated with pomposity. The event began at 9 am for grades VI to X on a high note. The program was commenced with lamp lighting by Mr. Sanjay Gupta (General Manager), Mrs Meenal Vasal (Principal),Mr. Madhukar Gupta (Chief Administrator) and Mr. kartik Sharma (Academic Coordinator). The aura was gleeful.
Coming up next, there was a Skit performed by the 9th graders. In the skit, the students played as the faculty portraying them in a rather humourous and light hearted tone. This brought about a joyous environment in the room. To proceed with, Teachers and other faculty members were called upon stage and presented with taglines and gifts.
In the spirit of the jaunty mood, teachers were then invited to participate in fun games arranged by the students. There was a strong energy of amusement as teachers played ‘Reactions of Situations’ and ‘balloon blast’. Mr. Bhanu Singh and Mr. Kartik were winners of the respective games.
Students from the dance club performed a beautiful group dance.The dance radiated with rhythm and energy. With organised moves and beautiful choreography, the group gave a wonderful performance.The audience cheered in awe and exclaimed enthusiastically. Students performed miraculous under the supervision of Ms. Nisha Jain.
By 10:30 am, the junior’s event had concluded. There was about a 30 minute break for refreshment before the program of senior division students started.
This event was set up by the 11th and 12th graders. A warm welcome speech by Ceril Upreti, appreciating the teachers for their accomplishments, their service and their hard work. A sense of contentment was sparked in the teachers.
To bring in up some energy and excitement, this was followed by amazing songs performed by the members of the music club. They were organised by the club coordinator Mr Anil and trained by the music teacher Mr. Vijay Kumar Rawal. melodious songs were sung, all bringing much of emotion and warmth with every word. The highlight of the function was cake cutting ceremony by all the faculty members and students. A few teachers also stepped up to speak to the crowd, thanking them for all that they had put together.
The seniors performed asthetic and energetic group dance. The execution was on the spot. It could have been no better.
Once again, teachers were invited to play baloon blast and Musical chair.
Mr. Pankaj secured the win for musical chair as well as sharing the win with Mr. Kishore for baloon blast.
The program of class 11th and 12th graders were very well coordinated by Ms. Chaitali Chandel.
At the end, a token of gratitude was present by the students to all the faculty members.The event concluded with a closing ceremony where all teachers came danced on stage together.
