SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION

Swimming Tournament @ Career Point Gurukul

India celebrates National Sports Day on 29th August to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand. The day is also dedicated to the nations’ sports heroes and champions, honoring their contribution and dedication towards bringing laurels to the country.

To celebrate this day, Sports Club organized “SWIMMING TOURNAMENT” in Career Point Gurukul. Gurukulites took part in their first ever intra-school freestyle swimming tournament under the supervision of Sports Coordinator, Mr. Bhanu Singh. The students have been coached prior to event by the renowned swimming instructor, Mr. Afroz Khan, who have been working hard in making each participant a true champion. Auditions were coordinated by Sports Club captains Mr. Sri Prakash and Ms. Kavya Anjuraj, who left no stone unturned to make this tournament miraculous.

All the gurukulites gathered at the pool to encourage their friends.

The girls categories were as follows:

1. CLASS VI -VIII – 25 mts

2. CLASS IX and X – 25 mts

3. CLASS XI and XII – 25 mts

The boys categories were as follows:

1. CLASS VI -VIII – 25 mts

2. CLASS IX and X – 50 mts

3. CLASS XI and XII – 75 mts

The finale for girls was held on 28 August 2022 followed by the finale of swimming tournament for boys category on 29 August 2022.The poolside was filled with loud cheering.The expectations from participants were high and the stakes were even higher. On the sound of clap of Principal of Career point Gurukul,  Mrs.  Meenal Vasal, the swimmers jumped into the pool and splashed water everywhere. Everyone was hooting & cheering for them. The competition was tough and swimmers crossed each other by narrow margin.

The event concluded at 6 pm and filled atmosphere with the sense of accomplishment and serenity.
