The feeling of patriotism resides in the heart of every citizen of our nation. The air was filled with pride and love for the country as the Gurukulites stood on the grass-covered field, eagerly awaiting the unfurling of the national flag, the ‘Tricolor.’
Everyone waited in neat queues as the principal walked down the aisle to unwind the rope and let the national flag soar high, swaying freely in the gusts of wind. It was Republic Day—the day our Indian Constitution first came into force 74 years ago, marking India’s transformation into a democratic and republican nation.
With heads held high, everyone honored the national flag as it fluttered proudly, a symbol of the struggles and hardships endured by the nation and its people to achieve the liberty we cherish today.
After the flag hoisting, the heartfelt rendition of the national anthem resonated in the air, paying tribute to our country. As the celebrations concluded and everyone moved toward the mouth-watering delicacies that awaited them, their hearts brimmed with gratitude for the countless sacrifices made by those who laid down their lives for the honor of the nation.
