When a man’s heart is full of compassion and kindness for the fellow human beings that’s when a man can be called a human. A man without compassion in his heart is just a two-legged animal. To uplift this spirit of humanity and compassion among Gurukulites, we celebrated the Humanity Day on May 1, 2023.

This Day, we the Gurukulites took out the time to thank and appreciate all the human beings around us who make our lives easier, who work hard day and night so that we could get some rest, so that we could be comfortable, so that we could enjoy our lives a little more. Under the guidance of our respected Principal Mrs. Meenal Vasal, students were reminded the importance of polite, respectful and courteous behaviour and then they were sent along with some teachers to invite the security guards, gardeners, cleaners, sweepers, painters caretakers and electricians for the Humanity Day Celebration.

The Celebration began with Tilak application on the foreheads of these workers who make a major contribution in the smooth-functioning of the organization and we are always proud to acknowledge the fact that without them, life at Career Point would not be the way it is. After Tilak, they were given best-wishes cards made by Art and Craft club. All the workers were delighted to receive those cards.

The faculty members taught students a lesson in hospitality when they served refreshments to all the workers with pleasant smiles on their faces and humility in their behaviour. We, at Gurukul, practise what we preach.

In the end, gifts were given to all the workers. Seeing the efforts of teachers, students and even the Principal, their surprised eyes started to shine with an unbelievable joy. They felt honoured, valued, appreciated and respected. It was a heart-touching moment for them. Each and every moment of this event truly felt like a Humanity Day.
