Dussehra is a Hindu festival which commemorates the victory of Lord Rama over the evil king Ravana. The main outcome of this festival is every time truth wins over lies, good wins over evil and light wins over dark.
Keeping this spirit alive, Career Point Gurukul organised Ravana Dahan on 4th October in the school premises with great enthusiasm and dedication. The preparations started beforehand with great zeal. The program started in the evening around 4 pm by Mrs Seema Sharma, who welcomed Mr Sanjay Gupta (General Manager) ,Mrs Meenal Vasal (Principal), Mr Madhukar Gupta (Chief Admin Officer) , Mr Kartik (Academic Coordinator), Staff Members and Gurukulites in the front lawn for the celebration. The event began with a brief speech from Dignitaries. Everyone was super excited as the function was about to start with ram-leela. Gurukulites prepared a Ram-leela under the supervision of Ms Nisha Jain ( Dance Coordinator) and Mr keyur Sharma (Dance Faculty). The performers dressed up beautifully as Ram, Laxman, Sita and Ravana. Lord Ram was played by Mr Anurag Tomar (class 12th ), Goddess Sita was played by Ms Sakshi Rajan (class 9th), Lord Laxman was played by Mr Ayush Singh (class 12th),and Ravana was played by Mr Aryan Sharma (class 12th). There was loud cheering and applause for all the artists who gave mesmerizing performance. The whole atmosphere was filled with the slogan,” Bhagwan Ram Chandra ki Jai.”
Soon after Ram-leela, Aarti began by all the dignitaries, staff members and Gurukulites, which was sung by Mr Rawal ( Music Faculty).  Then came the moment we had been waiting for so long, which was Ravana Dahan. Gurukulites installed a tall effigies of Meghnatha, Kumbhkarna and Ravana to demolish on the day to mark the celebration. Ram along with Laxman reached near the effigies and set it on fire. It was the worth-seeing scene. Within three or four minutes, the effigies was turned into ashes. It indeed was a day filled with much excitement.
