Dandiya raas, a festival enjoyed by all ages – a festival celebrated all around India & since our school is well known for being mini India we had celebrated dandiya raas with full enthusiasm & happiness. 21st October 2023 the school was nicely & brightly decorated, Mandir was in the centre of the ground. At 5:30 PM the function started after all the awaiting & all the shopping, dandiya raas was finally here. It started with a puja done by our Principal Mrs Sheetal Saraf & our Sanskrit teacher
Mr Anil Guatam. After the Puja the anchors started the function. Everyone got excited when they started the dance competion by calling the juniors first & then the seniors. Everyone danced so beautifully in their lehengas & Kurtas. We had 5 rounds of dandiya alternately the boys & girls after the dancing & fun we had, there was a little break for the awards – best dress & best dancer. All the winners were well deserving. We had a little surprise at around 8:15 PM it was SM Sir’s Birthday and he came to celebrate it with us. When he arrived we all sang the birthday song together. He was joyful to see the birthday cake. He even sung a song. Rakesh Sir sang the birthday song for SM sir. At the very end of the function. We had a dance with sir before he left. At 9:30 PM Sharp the function ended & we went back to the Hostel & there waiting for us was a special dinner. All of us enjoyed the night.
