‘ Adolescence is a new birth, for the higher and more completely human traits are now born’. – G. Stanley Hall.
On the last Sunday of June, Career Point Gurukul, Kota, welcomed Dr. Nidhi Barthunia, Gynaecologist and obstetrician, to address the young minds about the challenges of Adolescence. Adolescence is a time in which you experience everything intensely. It is basically a transition from childhood to adulthood. An individual entering adolescence phase undergoes a lot of changes within oneself and also around onself. He / she tend to become aware of his or her bodily changes, feel or experience attraction towards opposite sex, become more anxious, shy, sensitive, lose appetite and lack good sleep. Dr. Nidhi flawalessly and gracefully explained students about this new phase in their life, it’s beauty, it’s consequences if not properly aware and definitely how to enjoy and move forward. The talk also emphasised about how to control mental emotions, thus making one’s behaviour, thoughts and actions more sublime and subtle in all situations. An emotionally fit and stable person always feels vibrant and truly alive and can easily manage emotionally different circumstances. The speech progressed creating awareness about cervical cancer, female hygiene, PCOS and other need of the hour challenges to be discussed with blossoming minds.
